As the world navigates through the complexities of a deglobalizing environment, it becomes crucial to explore and understand the evolving paradigms that shape global interactions. The ISDSI-G Conference 2023, a prestigious international conference, invites scholars, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to contribute their insights and ideas to a scholarly dialogue centered around the theme of “Reimagining Globalization: The Power of Digital Interconnection in a Deglobalizing World”

Indian Institute of Management Ranchi is a leading management institute located in Ranchi. Established in 2009, IIM Ranchi has quickly gained recognition for its academic excellence, multiple programs, and impressive placement records. The institute now operates from its new state-of-the-art main campus at Prabandhan Nagar, Ranchi. The calm, serene, academic ambiance of the campus and its lush green surroundings are highly conducive to study, reflection, and learning. IIM Ranchi has extended its horizon and has opened a satellite campus in Hyderabad dedicated to executive education. IIM Ranchi has recently drafted a strategic plan known as IIMRanchi@2030, which focuses on education, impactful research, social impact, and international collaboration to guide the growth of the institute.

We invite papers that examine the impact of deglobalization on cross-border collaborations, international partnerships, and global value chains. Additionally, contributions exploring new avenues for international cooperation and the role of multilateral institutions are highly encouraged.

Researchers in Information Systems & Business Analytics can examine the role of digital technologies in facilitating international collaborations and cross-border operations. Operations Management scholars can investigate strategies for optimizing global value chains and supply networks in the face of deglobalization challenges. Finance & Accounting experts can explore the impact of changing trade dynamics on financial flows and investment decisions. Liberal Arts & Sciences researchers can contribute by analyzing the cultural, political, and ethical dimensions of internationalization processes. Furthermore, Marketing scholars can delve into international marketing strategies and consumer behavior in a deglobalizing context. Strategy scholars can submit papers on the impact and effects of deglobalization on global value chains, competition, and internationalization.

Globalization has long been associated with social and cultural transformations. However, in a deglobalizing world, understanding the social consequences assumes greater importance. The Social Impact track focuses on understanding the consequences of deglobalization on society and communities. We welcome papers that analyze the effects of deglobalization on socio-economic inequality, labor markets, migration patterns, cultural exchange, and social inclusion. Submissions investigating innovative approaches to address these challenges are particularly sought after.
